A strong brand is a highly desirable asset for any company. A good brand increases market awareness and provides a steady platform on which to develop the reputation of your business. Whether it be a letter, business card, van, building or vending machine: incorporating your unique style and company branding instils consumer confidence and trust in your business while doing wonders for creating a professional image to reflect your service.
The concepts behind a successful vending machine campaign are very similar to those of a typical shop. Customers will only be aware of your existence and be motivated to purchase your products after first being attracted to your sales outlet. Appropriate, appealing advertising and a strategically planned location are essential criteria required for achieving these goals.
While choice of location can often be limited by obstacles which are somewhat out of our control, the approach you take to promoting, marketing and advertising is only limited by your imagination (well, mostly.).
Intelligent Vending Ltd typically offers the following 3 branding options:
1) Open Brief: we will design your vinyls for you from scratch, based on your brief (if any) and incorporating any company logos, colours, themes, etc.
2) Adapted Design: we will design your vending machine vinyl’s based on artwork you provide.
3) In House: Alternatively if you wish source the design from elsewhere, or even create the design yourself: we will provide help and assistance with the technical issues involved (such as required design formats, machine dimensions etc.).
If you choose to take the ‘In House’ route and create the design yourself, there are a couple of points we ask our clients to keep in mind.
It is in our opinion always important when designing for vending machines to keep things bold and simple (this doesn’t have to mean dull). The ‘less is more’ approach can often be more effective than a busy design, plus it emphasises key information and helps to keep costs down.
Customers should try and avoid any design wraparounds and have a separate vinyl for each face of the vending machine. This makes the application of the vinyls on the machines easier, which helps avoid potential defects such as bubbles and vinyl misalignment. Additionally, a tolerance should be allowed for any bends there might be on the vending machines themselves. The exact shapes of the vending machines are open to slight variations due to the steel fabrication methods involved.
We are able to brand most vending machines. The cost varies significantly and is largely dependent on the quantity of machines and the complexity and size of the design. Large runs (100+ vending machines) are more cost-effective than smaller runs and also have an effect on the suitable printing options.
For small to medium sized batches we will usually recommend consulting a vehicle graphics company to carry out the printing, but for large orders we tend to find that dedicated vinyl printing specialists provide better rates.
Good branding is a worthwhile investment and should be considered by anyone wanting to enhance their image or launch new products. We love seeing what people can do with their vending machines and have seen some amazing designs in the past.
Vending machine branding provides an ideal opportunity to show everyone what makes your company special and helps you stand out from the crowd.
