Snack Vending Machines
Snack vending machines are probably what most people think of when they picture typical vending machines. Snack and food vending machines can be a great way of making extra money from your existing business premises.
The first important choice to make prior to considering the purchase of snack vending machines should be whether you would be better suited with a self-management vending machine service (self-filling – arranging own vending machine products), or a fully operated vending machine service (vending machine stock managed by dedicated vending machine operators).
Usually, answers to a few initial questions should help you make an informed decision:
How large is your organisation?
Do you have a staff member available who you could entrust with this responsibility?
What type of products/brands do you wish to vend?
How many products do you think you could sell a week?

Winds of Change
The world we live in today is ever changing. Nothing stagnates and there are always upgrades for yesterday’s products coming out. The minute a product is launched it becomes outdated because we start working on a newer, better one to replace it with.
The same goes for lifestyles and trends. Nothing ever stays the same, not even for a whole season. There are new ideas for your lifestyle coming out every single day and new research is delivering new results each day. So where does all this change leave you as a vending machine owner?
Time to adapt
There has been research and surveys into the working lives and habits of people across the UK and there is a shocking rise in the amount of people that work from home or are on the move. That is not shocking for the rest of the world, but that increase is shocking for vending machine owners and operators.

Snacks to Stop the Hunger Pains
Snack vending machines have crept into the heart of our society. You can find them almost everywhere – wherever hungry people walk and work. You may think that snack vending is simply a matter of filling a machine with snack foods and placing it a hall or room. On the surface that is true, however, getting the most from snack machines takes time and requires tactical thought.
If you think it is mere coincidence that the snack machines near you just happen to stock some of your favourite crisps and treats, think again; they have most likely been carefully selected based on the buying habits of its customers.
The key to successful snack vending
Stocking and positioning snack food vending machines is a skill to be developed. Sales from snack vending machines can be significantly boosted by monitoring stock levels and consumer purchase choices to better cater to the target market with more suitable products and advertising. Try and make it as hard as possible for the people who frequent that hallway or room to resist your vending efforts.
This can be helped by strategically placing your snack vending machine in the most tempting spot available and where it will be seen by as many people as possible. Next, fill it with all the snacks and confectionery your target market favour and enjoy the rewards.
You might consider doing research to discover more about the likes, dislikes, wants and desires of your target audience. It involves a little more work but can really help speed up the process of optimising profits through refined product selection and enhanced marketing.

Are You Vending Condoms with Integrity?
Condom vending is a common activity in businesses, pubs, restaurants and nightclubs. It is suitable for any establishment with toilets or washrooms which experience frequent usage by staff or visitors.
Selling condoms from vending machines can be a very profitable business: costs are low, margins are high and if the machine is installed in the right location, demand remains consistent.
As the business of condoms (prophylactics) can be a sensitive (!) and a sometimes controversial subject, it is important to apply careful thought and consideration to all the related choices and decisions involved, ensuring full compliance with government rules and regulations so as to avoid any potential negative consequences.
There are various ways to tell the authenticity and provenance of products such as condoms, which is vital to do if you are considering selling them. Supplying defective or substandard condoms could have potentially devastating, even life threatening consequences for your consumers and could seriously affect your company’s image and reputation.

Bactokill Air Sterilizers
We all know a safe environment is a happy environment, and Bactokill air sterilization systems provide just that.
Airborne viruses and bacteria including MRSA (Methicillin-Resistant Staph Aureus), C-Diff (Clostridium Difficile) and the latest danger: Swine Flu – or influenza A(H1N1) – all threaten our health and wellbeing and are a worry for thousands of people.
Bacteria and viruses are particularly hazardous in densely populated buildings such as busy offices, schools, hospitals and hotels where there is a high risk of infections spreading. These concerns are becoming stronger as more of these threats develop (Avian Flu, anyone?) and affect the day to day lives of more and more people (Guardian Daily: Swine flu shuts down Mexico).
Bactokill are at the top of the game when it comes to air sterilization systems, which are an invaluable tool for any busy enclosed area. Excellent at reducing the risk of cross-contamination from the majority of airborne bacteria and viruses, Bactokill air sterilizers work by circulating air through two chambers inside the machine which expose it to UVc radiation – virtually eliminating any dangerous microbes.
This is a highly effective, independently tested method of purifying and sterilizing air which is used with great success all over the world and has already been proven to be effective against the super-viruses MRSA and C-Diff (see downloads below for more information).
Not only do Bactokill air sterilizers reduce the risk of cross-contamination and infection, they eliminate smells and nasty odours too. As most smells are caused by some form of bacteria, they are destroyed in the same way as other viruses and bacteria when they pass through the machine. This additional use is particularly helpful in locations such as hotels, where rooms need to be quickly cleaned ready for the following guests.
