3) In House: Alternatively if you wish source the design from elsewhere, or even create the design yourself: we will provide help and assistance with the technical issues involved (such as required design formats, machine dimensions etc.).

If you choose to take the ‘In House’ route and create the design yourself, there are a couple of points we ask our clients to keep in mind.

It is in our opinion always important when designing for vending machines to keep things bold and simple (this doesn’t have to mean dull). The ‘less is more’ approach can often be more effective than a busy design, plus it emphasises key information and helps to keep costs down.

Customers should try and avoid any design wraparounds and have a separate vinyl for each face of the vending machine. This makes the application of the vinyls on the machines easier, which helps avoid potential defects such as bubbles and vinyl misalignment. Additionally, a tolerance should be allowed for any bends there might be on the vending machines themselves. The exact shapes of the vending machines are open to slight variations due to the steel fabrication methods involved.

We are able to brand most vending machines. The cost varies significantly and is largely dependent on the quantity of machines and the complexity and size of the design. Large runs (100+ vending machines) are more cost-effective than smaller runs and also have an effect on the suitable printing options.

For small to medium sized batches we will usually recommend consulting a vehicle graphics company to carry out the printing, but for large orders we tend to find that dedicated vinyl printing specialists provide better rates.
